Hey guys!
I have a question for everyone. Whats the best screen recorder that I can use while playing AC? That wont completely butcher my fps? I wanna start recording me gameplay. Although you might say why not record from a demo? I would like to be able to show my weapon and ammo and health and ect.
So I'm reaching out to the community whats the best program I can use?
Requirements:
Must be a Mac program
Prices doesn't matter all that matter is quality! (and no lag)

Fraps is a pretty good program to record your gameplay.
Go to fraps.com

Bestcat I'm on a Mac and I have AV and shit don't worry. Also I didn't post a link? Idk :P ...
After test I capped 50 fps average. Thats decent I assume, to the extent I don't have lag ingame or in video and its playable

I was going to argue that freeware is the way to go, but... Is there a such thing as freeware for Macs?

i have just got fraps and it utterly shagged my FPS. no propper montage for me!

Fraps doesn't work well with AC , self experience. It drops your fps to 100 and keeps oscilating between 20-100, so its impossible to record with those screen lags.

I My fps dropped with fraps from 100 fps to 1-2fps O.o

In my experience there's always some drop in FPS and I usually find it safer to use a maxfps setting close to my target-fps (for the released video), so something like maxfps 30 or maxfps 25 - it should even out the oscillations.
glc is my favourite screen-capture tool, since it captures sound quite well too - it's open-source and it seems to have been packaged (at the time of writing this) for gentoo and arch .. but it's well worth the effort of compiling yourself IMHO. HowtoInstall@glc

Also I am not quiet that interested in sound quality because I'm going to be replacing it with a song most likely. But, if I do need to insert speech I could just use iMovie or Adobe After Effects. I'm just using the program to make montages and tutorials ect. But, also I am making videos to practice video editing.
This is a video I made edditing in iMovie (Nothing fancy).

if screenflow 2.1.4 dont work, try taking slow screen shots constantly ;) it works, lol

when you play full screen AC, and your recording, does it show up weird on your screenflow??

Sheesh. I could sit all day on a torrent client and write down IP addresses and generate enough revenue with the "legal blackmail" to follow (sending "pay up or you're gonna get a lawsuit" letters) that I would never have to work another day for the next 10 years. /ridiculous

Also when I record AC I hide my desktop and I don't play fullscreen. Lmao at the rapid screenshot script.
