Does it also drop, if you don't move your view at all? Then it should be a overheating problem indeed. Try cleaning the CPU cooling system.

Did it ever work without dropping or was it always the same with this laptop? If it never worked, it's possible, that the cooling system simply doesn't support 100% GPU usage for more than a few seconds. In that case, enabling vsync may be a way to get stable 60 fps.

Don't worry. You can play fine with 60fps. I rarely even get that much.

(There is a reason, why gamers have huge rigs with lots of fans or even water cooling... i5-4200U doesn't even sound like a proper laptop, more like an ultrabook - their cooling is built for sprints, not for marathons)
