There's far more depth to this than you imagine.

Then call a Spade, a Spade and don't say "The shotgun is overpowered, the game sucks, I want 1.x back". I'm not saying you're saying that, it's just what I see on the forums here. That kind of commentary implies that the slightest change to the game in inherently bad, and that there is no room for improvement. I understand the "don't mess with a good thing" mentality but I don't see that AC has been rendered utterly unplayable by these recent changes as some people would have us believe.

However, I do concede that I haven't read every single thread on this forum (I've only just started taking an interest in the AC forums), and I haven't been privy to the seemingly titanic struggle between the developers and the community. I don't know the background or history, and I can only comment on what I see, but what I see is pretty sad.

Well, I'm glad you acknowledge the fact that you don't know the history.

But it's even more sad for me than for you... Good times did exist. These things wouldn't be so sad if it was always like this, you know...
