If you're interested in following the AssaultCube World cup (hereon after referred to as ACWC) this year:

- join #ACtv on GameSurge IRC and converse while the streams going on.
- visit http://backrowac.wordpress.com/ (ACWC news site, ran by the_andyman, send him regards) for updates on the world cup while its going on, match times, and news articles.
- of course, you can always visit acworldcup.tk (ACWC forum), but the other avenues are easier to follow.
- additionally, ill be updating match times in this thread with VOD links.

We've already signed up a Middle East team for ACWC. Members are as follow:

We're interested to get some middle eastern players for our team in order to complete it. Note: You need to have basic knowledge of game. Not much skillful but interested in improving. Teamwork is the most important fact for selection.

At first Bigbaddy and I were hoping to get a team India going, but that did not go so well due to lack of sign-ups and him pulling out of ACWC.

Hailing all Canadian AC players (residents, or proud Canadians abroad!),

I'm not sure if there has been much discussion of a Canadian team yet. I've seen some talk here and there (PB forums, IRC), but how about we utilize this thread here?

This year will be my first ACWC. I have no intention whatsoever to make a Canada team, but I do hope interested Canadian players will come to this thread and start getting a team going.

However, if there are a shortage of players, I am happy to play for Canada or at least be a sub/fan!

Canadians I can think of, off the top of my head: Crown, Woolly, ikljo, Zarj, Cermer, Secarty, JMKane, Bullpup, ThePinkOne... and iirc Wubbstep...

So after a couple difficulties, Germany is not going to participate with one team only.

Me, @cid and Al!ve decided to create an own team.

We already asked some players if they want to join us, but they couldn't answer yet, so as long as we got no response, we're searching for a 4th player.

If you are interested in joining, PM me and we will test you to decide if you got the power to join us or not

I think this would be an acceptable team as they are/were all Celtic and are close in geographical location.

ACWC Preparation Discussion

aG will be hosting ACWC 2012 this summer.

The main purpose at this stage is just to get rules finalised and decide a starting date. Due to the fact many will be taking vacation around the time of ACWC it's important we run it at a time when the most players will be available.

ACWC 2012 should take five or six weeks from the starting date. We won't be able to extend deadlines for this tournament since players may then not be able to play due to going on vacation.
