Sound Issues
#1
Hi there, I have the same problem as ZS/Horse had in a thread below - my sound keeps cutting out until I load a new map. But I can't reply to the thread. Million replied "/bulletairsound 0
http://forum.cubers.net/search.php"
But I can't access that page and I don't know what /bulletairsound 0 means, could someone let me know please?

Once you are in-game, type the command in chat.
/bulletairsound 0
Then press enter.
It deactivates a sound that causes a known bug for Windows clients.

Thanks, I already tried that (chat as in chat to everyone?) and it didn't work, but I'll try again.

Also if the problem continues. Assuming your using a 64bit machine.
This is not an Assaultcube issue but an OpenAl issue. But its simple to fix.

AssaultCube uses the official OpenAL implementation by default.
If you encounter any sound problems you can switch to OpenAL-Soft,
this can be done by renaming openal32_RemoveThisPartToUseOpenAL-Soft.dll
to openal32.dll

Simply use your file explorer find your way to Assaultcube directory.
Look for a sub directory called Bin_win32 .
In here are the open_Al files.
So simply look for the the file called Openal32_removethisparttouseopenal-soft.dll.
Right click on it and choose to rename it to Openal32.dll
you will be asked if you want to do this action .. Just click yes.

I have installed Ac numerous times and this works for me everytime.

In short your going back to a 32bit Openal version that works

Thank you for the feedback. The problem seems to have disappeared since I typed in that bulletairsound 0 in game.
