Masterserver isn't replying
#1
So, the program say I must contact to this address...

I've tried this method:
http://forum.cubers.net/thread-8010-post...#pid159705
http://forum.cubers.net/thread-8286-post...#pid164479 (Delete the saved-cfg) (This thread also has a same problem like mine)

But really, still doesn't work. My router just fine. And then I try to install to my other Windows, yep, same...

Im usually using my Compac CQ43 (Pentium 4 3ghz, se7en 32bit, 128mb graphic)

Please, I need your help...

(If you ask am I cracking or cheating, no. Im not cheating :D)

I'm guessing he's using UDP... but I'll let him choose.

Who are you again? TCP is default.

You are actually blacklisted per: http://forum.cubers.net/thread-7199-post...#pid166969

See user adad. It's a pretty big range blacklisted but your location gets quite a bit of abuse anyways. I'd poke grenadier about it.

Which everyone has told you what to do: fix your folder permissions. You could, of course, also have read the two options when installing and had the relevant files installed to a user folder. You then, ask for a step by step guide instead of simply using google to find your answer. That wouldn't be such an issue if you did not:

1) Pretend to be an expert in running masterservers even though
a) You don't know how the owner of a masterserver communicates with it and you assume an admin will claim admin somehow (to my knowledge there is no such interface) and type /ban. You assume, although you do seem to know what a masterserver is just like all other assaultcube servers. If there was sufficient documentation on it, I would read it. Unfortunately, the code happens to be a bit hard to read at times, although I did figure out how to start one up...

2) You proceeded to be an expert in server management by
a) Claiming that it's easy to get around blacklists by
i) Changing your name and then when told that you can be blacklisted by ips
ii) Claimed that using a proxy you can easily get around that stuff. Sure, you might be able to but you probably wouldn't be able to play assaultcube. There are two main types of proxies: HTTP and SOCKS. HTTP probably wouldn't cut it (maybe connect to a masterserver), but it depends on how servers are implemented which I'm not 100% sure about, but since you're an expert why don't you elucidate? SOCKS proxies are also slow, so good luck with that. And then
iii) You claim that we can impersonate people easily with IP spoofing when you have no idea how the internet actually works.

3) You proceed to be an expert on connecting to the masterserver. Let's be honest here, did you really know what TCP or UDP was before using google? Then you proceed to be a smartass and say "I'll let him choose". Why did I ask this question though? Admittingly
a) I had no idea TCP was default and was going to suggest changing to the non-default one because
b) I remember an issue a while back where switching protocols helped with connection issues.

Before you are able to at least contribute something without appearing like a troll, you should at least demonstrate competence in using google to fix YOUR issue, in which XRD has already given the solution.
