Map Quality Requirements question
Ok The Quality Requirements as far as

- You cannot have a big open area in your map more than 10000 cubes
- You cannot have a high ceil mean value (not greater than 30 cubes over all map)
- You cannot have pick ups too close each other (the exceptions are health pack and pistol clips, which can stay 3 cubes)
- The same for the flags... at least 30 cubes

now my questions are

1) how do you make sure a big open area in map is no more than 10,000 cubes?

2) Do you mean ceil as in ceiling? How do u make sure it's not over 30 cubes?

3) How do you make sure pickups aren't too close to eachother?

4) What do you mean exactly by 30 cubes for flags?

I'm trying to figure this out. I'm sure if someone is kind enough to answer these questions, it would help aloooooooooooooooooooooooot of people who want to make maps.

Armour, ammobox, grenades, and akimbo need to be at least 16 cubes apart (2 of the the blue intersections in the grid)

Quote:4) What do you mean exactly by 30 cubes for flags?

They need to be 30 cubes apart -> roughly 4 blue intersections apart.

I knew there was something like that, but I didn't know what exactly.

'ceil' does refer to 'ceiling'. Where does it say 'ceil', just out of curiosity.

RE: Map Quality Requirements question
ceil is ceiling.

Ceil probably originated from the sqr struct (the data structure for a cube), ceil refers to the ceiling height.
